OneNote - Deleted Notebook still appears.

I deleted a notebook, but it still appears. Tried to delete it from OneDrive - but it cannot be seen there. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hello

    I apologize for the confusion.

    If you have deleted a notebook in OneNote, but it still appears in your list of notebooks, there are a few steps you can try to completely remove it:

    1. Try to sign out and sign again to your notebook.
    2. Sometimes, the deleted notebook may still be visible due to cached data. To clear the cache, follow these steps:

    Close OneNote completely. Press the "Windows key + R" to open the Run dialog box. Type %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneNote\16.0\Cache and press Enter. Delete all the files and folders present in the Cache folder. Restart OneNote and check if the deleted notebook is still visible.

    1. This arises due to sync issue. You can also try to un-link your Onedrive account and then re-link it. To do so right click on Onedrive cloud icon located at bottom right of the screen then go to settings. Click on Account and then click on "Unlink this PC". Once done then again add your account to the Onedrive.

    This should resolve your issue.

    Ein lange bekanntes Problem.

    Es gibt nur eine einigermassen zuverlässige Lösung:

    In OneNote aus Office auf Windows über Datei -> Öffnen in der Zuletzt Verwendet Liste auf das entspr. Notizbuch rechtsklicken und Aus Liste entfernen anklicken.

    As I mentioned in my original post, this file CANNOT be seen on OneDrive.

    I dont want to restore it - I want it deleted permanantly.

    Sorry, these suggestions do not help in solving my problem at all.

    Hi Abdal,

    As mentioned in my post and as per screenshot posted,....

    I see it in OneNote - marked in RED

    I dont see it on OneDrive.
