How do I turn track changes off? (Word for Mac)

I have the same issue. But I want to turn all the track changes. It is a waste of time that every time I add an extra line I have to accept the change.

Is there going to be an update on that issue soon?

Word for the Mac has the keyboard shortcut Cmd+Shift+E to toggle tracked changes.

You may have pressed that by mistake.

After you accept all changes, make sure that Track Changes is toggled off.

All that has changed is that there are now 2 options: Track Everyone, Track Just Mine. That justified a design change to the the previous toggle button tool which simply provided On/Off.

To turn Track Changes Off using the new tool click directly on it rather than clicking the ⌵ on the edge of the tool. Depending on the width of the window that may be a 2-step process: If the 1st click opens a dropdown palette click the Track Changes button in that palette.
