I keep getting the error "**Your OneDrive folder can't be created in the location you selected"**each time I try setting up OneDrive. I don't know the fix although it tells me non-removable drive and case sensitive format. I need help getting this setup.

    Hi Leonardo,

    Thanks for the image.

If the hard drive is not a removable drive, I think the issue is due to the OneDrive file name. Are there any special characters in your Company Name? Such as "/", "", etc. If that is the case, OneDrive cannot set it up since it cannot create folder with those characters in the folder name.

If the name looks normal, it might due to the disk format of your Mac. You can check whether your Mac's disk is case sensitive or insensitive. Here is how to check: How to check if my HD is case sensitive or not? If the HD is case sensitive, OneDrive cannot create the folder either. In that case, you can refer to this thread: Case-sensitive to normal?

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hi Leonardo,

Sorry for the inconvenience it has caused. OneDrive does have a setting that not allow user to create new folder. Let's first find out whether it is the reason in our case.

You can try OneDrive Online and create the folder in the location and see if there are any error messages pops up. If yes, please share a screenshot with us. If not, it means that OneDrive allows you to create new folder, and we need to look in your Mac.

If these error only happens when you create the folder in your Mac, you can right click OneDrive icon on the top menu and Quit OneDrive. Then open your finder and create the folder see if the error happens. Without OneDrive's influence, you should be able to create the folder in your Mac just like you can in other locations.

Welcome to share the result with us for further support.

    Regards,

    Alex

Have you tried quit OneDrive and create the folder in OneDrive folder?

Also, can you share a screenshot of the error message with us?
