Why does snipping tool or screen print capture images with an almost orange background? See below:

On my screen, before capturing the image, it does not appear like this. The background is white. But, once I snip or screen capture I get this...

    Hi Catcollector,

I understand that you are facing an issue with the color of your screen captures using the snipping tool or screen print on your Windows 10 computer.

The reason why the captured image has an orange tint is because of the color profile settings on your computer. When you capture an image using the snipping tool or screen print, Windows 10 applies a different color profile to the captured image, which causes the orange tint.

To fix this issue, please follow the steps below:

    > Press the Windows key on your keyboard and type "Color Management" in the search bar.

    > Open the "Color Management" application from the search results.

    > In the "Color Management" window, click on the "Advanced" tab.

    > Under the "Advanced" tab, click on "Change system defaults".

    > In the "Color Management" window that appears, click on the "Advanced" tab.

    > Under "Device Profile", select "sRGB IEC61966-2.1" and click "Set as Default Profile".

    > Click "OK" to save the changes.

Once you have completed these steps, the orange tint issue should be resolved. Now, when you take a screen capture or use the snipping tool, the captured image should have the same colors as your original screen display.

Hi, the display is working fine. This only happens when I take a screen capture (screen print) or use snipping tool. Otherwise, my screen looks normal. When I look at my screen, this page looks white. As soon as I use the snipping tool, the "copied" image is a tint of orange

    Hi catcollector,

I'm sorry to hear that, let's see if we can troubleshoot this together.

Firstly, could you tell me a little more about the problem? Is your display not working properly or showing any error messages? And when did this issue start happening?

Based on your description, one possible solution is to check your display driver. Have you recently updated your computer or made any changes to your hardware or software? If so, it's possible that the display driver is no longer compatible with your system.

You could try a few things to troubleshoot this. One option is to roll back the driver to a previous version. Another is to update the driver from the manufacturer's website. Do you feel comfortable trying either of these options? If not, we can explore other solutions together.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

    Best regards,

    John D.
