Hello Tommy,
Thank you so much for reaching out, I am Udit an independent advisor, and I am glad to assist you today with this issue. When only "try again" option is there, you can try these steps.
Check if you're using a Microsoft Account
If you use an email address to sign in, you likely have a Microsoft account. In that case, you can reset your password online from another device.
Go to https://account.live.com/password/reset
Choose "I forgot my password"
Enter your Microsoft account email and follow the prompts to verify your identity and set a new password.
Use the password reset disk (if created earlier)
If you created a password reset disk before losing your password, insert it and follow the on-screen instructions to reset your password.
Use another admin account (if available)
If another administrator account exists on the device, you can log into that account and reset the password for your locked account through the Control Panel under User Accounts.
Reset your PC (as a last resort if other options don’t apply)
If none of the above work, you may consider resetting your device. This will reinstall Windows while giving you the option to keep or remove your personal files:
Turn off your PC
Turn it on and, as soon as Windows starts to load, turn it off again
Repeat this 2–3 times until you see "Preparing Automatic Repair"
From the recovery screen, choose Troubleshoot > Reset this PC
Choose to keep your files (if needed) and follow the prompts
Each of these steps is designed to help restore access in a secure and supported way. If you’re not sure whether you're using a Microsoft account or local account, try checking from another device by attempting a password reset at the link above.
Let me know if you need help walking through any of the steps.
Kind regards,
Udit
