Email in Azure Communication Services and Dedicated IP

Hi,

Does "Email in Azure Communication Services" support Dedicated IP?
If Dedicated IP is not supported, is there other ways to ensure, that the reputation is high?
My system relies on sending status e-mails to users, and must "always" work.

At the moment I am using SendGrid, but it is very expensive.
I have also thought about using Email service from AWS (Amazon Simple Email Service).

Hi, @Martin Jørgensen

It is currently not possible to use Dedicated IP with Azure Communication Services.
So if you need a Dedicated IP at this time, you'll need to use another email sending service.

However, Azure Communication Service is currently still in preview and data locations are only available in United States.
As you say, control of the source IP address is a very important function in the mail sending service.
Additionally I would like a suppression list to control bounces.

Please provide feedback to the product team.

Adding to what TakahitoIwasa said, yes ACS doesn't support the use Dedicated IP for emails for now but the engineering team is interested in learning more about your specific scenario. I have reached out to you privately to get more information and feedback.

"As a business that uses emails to communicate to customer, we want to monitor our email reputation using Outlook.com Smart Network Data Services"

We're only using ACS for transactional emails and other non-marketing communications, so as long as Azure is pooling customers with similar usage patterns on the same IP, I don't expect a lot of trouble with reputation.

However, without dedicated IPs there's no way to know our reputation. And without knowing my reputation, I don't know whether I'm negatively impacted by shared IPs.

Also, we have BYOIP (custom prefix) and would be nice to be able to use our own IPs as the outbound IPs.

Similar requirements apply to us as well, in order to send emails, we must call an email communication service from our on-premise server.
In our situation, the on-premise server firewall port opening requires static IP addresses.

Can we obtain the static IP addresses for an Azure communication service?
