    Hi @sherry thomas

    I completely understand how frustrating it is to be locked out when you're just trying to get your ins registration done through your work portal.

    To clarify, Microsoft isn't acting as malware or third-party interference here. It serves as your employer's identity and access management system (Microsoft Entra ID / Office 365). When it blocks your access, it means your account has triggered a security policy enforced by your company's IT department.

    To help you figure out the exact solution or prepare the right details for your company's IT Helpdesk, could you share a bit more information?

    1. What exact error message or code appears on your screen? (e.g., "Your account is locked", "MFA required","You can't get there from here", or a specific AADSTS error code?)
    2. At which step are you getting stuck?
      • Before entering your password?
      • After entering your password, while waiting for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA / Authenticator app prompt / SMS code)?
      • Or do you sign in successfully, but get an "Access Denied" page afterward?
    3. What device and network are you using? (A personal computer/phone, or a company-issued managed device?Are you on home Wi-Fi or the corporate network?)

    Please provide more details..

    Stop retrying in the looping page, start a clean browser session, and sign in with the exact work or school account confirmed by your employer.

    Try a clean sign-in

    1. Close every tab showing the benefits website or Microsoft sign-in page.
    2. If you use Microsoft Edge:
      • Enter edge://settings/privacy in the address bar.
      • Select Choose what to clear.
      • Select Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
      • Set Time range to All time, select Clear now, and restart Edge.
        This signs you out of other websites. Microsoft documents that stale cookies or authentication tokens can cause repeated sign-in prompts.^1^
    3. Return to the original benefits website rather than opening Microsoft separately.
    4. When redirected, enter your employer-provided email address. If asked to choose an account type, select Work or school account, not Personal account. Personal and work accounts are separate, and a personal Microsoft account cannot sign in to a business service unless the organization specifically added it as a guest.^2^
    5. If offered Other ways to sign in, use an existing verification method such as an authenticator approval, PIN, security key, or emailed code.^3^

    Do not continue making repeated attempts if the “tried too many times” message returns.

    Separate an account lockout from a benefits-site problem

    Open https://myaccount.microsoft.com directly and try the same work account once.^1^

    • If that sign-in also fails: Contact your employer’s IT/help desk. Ask them to:
      • confirm the correct username;
      • check whether the work account is locked or disabled;
      • reset or unlock it if necessary; and
      • verify that its multifactor-authentication method is valid.
      Work or school accounts are created and managed by the employer’s administrator, so Microsoft consumer account support cannot independently unlock that organizational account.^2^
    • If that sign-in succeeds but the benefits website loops: The work account itself is functioning. Contact your employer’s benefits/HR support or the benefits website’s support team and report:
      “Microsoft work-account sign-in succeeds directly, but the benefits enrollment site repeatedly redirects to the Microsoft sign-in page and then reports too many attempts.”

    As an additional comparison, Microsoft recommends trying another device or switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data when a browser, device, or network may be involved.^3^
