Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
If the charge does not appear in the Microsoft account’s order history or subscriptions, the most likely causes are:
- The charge is tied to a different Microsoft account.
- A family member or someone else used the card on their Microsoft account.
- The card information was compromised.
Recommended next steps:
- Sign in to the Microsoft account dashboard and go to the Manage your payments page, then select Investigate for the charge if it appears there.
- Check Services & subscriptions to see whether recurring billing is enabled on any subscription.
- Check Microsoft order history and compare the date and amount with the bank statement.
- If there are other Microsoft accounts previously used, check those as well.
- If the charge still cannot be found, contact the bank or card provider immediately and report the card as compromised or unauthorized. Disputing only the charge may not stop future fraudulent charges.
- For Microsoft assistance, use Contact Microsoft Support, enter the problem, select Get Help, and then Contact Support.
If the charge was from a cancelled subscription, cancellations must be made more than 2 days before the billing date, otherwise a payment may still be taken.
