Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
- Sign in and review your order history to confirm whether there are actually two purchases for the same amount made close together: Review your order history.
- If only one charge appears in order history, check whether another Microsoft account using the same card made the second purchase. In Payment options, select Investigate: Go to payment options.
- Also check Services & subscriptions to see whether two Microsoft 365 subscriptions were activated under the same or different Microsoft accounts.
- If the duplicate purchase is confirmed, contact Microsoft Support and request a refund or credit for the extra subscription: Contact Microsoft Support.
Common reasons two charges appear the same day:
- A real duplicate purchase was made.
- A previously declined payment was retried.
- Another Microsoft account or family member used the same card.
- Recurring billing is enabled on an existing subscription.
If the charge is not recognized or the card may be compromised, contact the bank or payment provider immediately to prevent more charges.
