I need help with a Microsoft 365 Family refund that is showing as "Refunded", but the money has not reached my payment method.

The refund was issued on 27 August 2026, and I was advised it would normally take 3–5 business days. It has now been several weeks.

Can you please tell me how I can contact Microsoft Support about a refund that has been marked as refunded but has not been received?

I can provide the credit note and invoice numbers through a private support channel if required.

This is a public forum, so for your privacy and security, we can’t help with billing issues here. Also, no one in this forum has access to your account or payment information.

To get help, open the "Get Help" app on your computer (just search for it in the Start menu). or go to https://support.microsoft.com/contactus, Type "Billing" and press Enter. On the next screen, click "Contact support" at the bottom of the page, then choose "Microsoft 365" > "Manage my subscription". You’ll then see the option to chat with a Microsoft support agent who has access to your account to help review the issue.

If the order history shows Refunded or the refund was issued, but the money has still not reached the payment method after several weeks, the next step is to contact Microsoft Support.

Use one of these support paths:

    1. Go to Contact Microsoft Support.
    2. Enter the billing or refund issue and select Get Help.
    3. If self-help does not resolve it, select Contact Support to be routed to the best support option.

Also check the refund status here before contacting support:

    1. Open the Microsoft account Order history page: Open Order history
    2. Find the Microsoft 365 Family purchase.
    3. Confirm it shows the refund status.

Relevant details from Microsoft support content:

    • If Microsoft has issued the refund but the payment provider has not credited it yet, banks can still take a few days to process it.
    • Since several weeks have already passed, contacting Microsoft Support is appropriate.
    • If the charge is unrecognized or there is concern about payment misuse, review it on the Manage your payments page.
    • If payment information may have been compromised, contact the bank or payment provider to prevent additional charges.
