Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Hello jennifer spangler,
I’m sorry you were charged twice and still cannot access Microsoft 365. This may mean the subscription is linked to another Microsoft account, or one payment was not correctly applied.
Here are some suggestions you can try:
- Sign in to Order history with the Microsoft account used for the purchase. Check whether both the August 19 and October 5 charges appear, and whether both are completed rather than pending. Then check Services & subscriptions to confirm which account shows Microsoft 365 as active.
- If there are two subscriptions, select Manage > Cancel for the unintended one. Refund eligibility will be shown during cancellation, but not every cancellation qualifies. If the purchase was through Apple, Google Play, or another retailer, the refund must be requested from that provider.
If you need further assistance during the process, please contact Microsoft Support. Since this is a public user-to-user forum, we cannot access your account, review billing records, or process refunds from here. We can only share suggestions based on our findings and personal experiences.
For billing support, please go to Contact Microsoft Support, enter your problem and select Get Help. Then scroll down and select Sign in to contact Support to be routed to the best support option.
Tips:
- Support chat availability may vary by country/region, product, and support hours. If you can't get in touch with a chat agent right away, trying again later or at a different time may help.
- If the support page directs you to the automated assistant, type “I need a live agent” in the chat.
Hopefully your issue will be sorted out soon. Thank you so much for your patience!
