Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Dear Marilyn,
For business subscriptions, starting a cancellation often just turns off recurring billing, and the subscription stays active until its end date. To check the status:
- Sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center with the business administrator account.
- Go to Billing > Your products.
- Select Microsoft 365 Business Standard.
- Check Subscription status and Recurring billing.
Then follow the option shown:
- If the subscription is Active but recurring billing is Off, select Edit recurring billing, turn it On, and save. An active subscription can have recurring billing turned back on before expiration.
- If the subscription shows Canceled, Expired, or offers Reactivate, select Reactivate subscription, confirm the payment method, and complete the process.
- If it says Active and recurring billing is On, no further action should be necessary. Confirm that the next charge date remains October 14.
If you have a Microsoft Customer Agreement billing account, reactivation may create a new subscription with the same commitment term starting on the reactivation date. Review the displayed dates and charges carefully before confirming.
For reference:
- Manage recurring billing in the Microsoft 365 admin center
- Reactivate your subscription in the Microsoft 365 admin center
If Reactivate or Turn on recurring billing is unavailable, use Help & support in the Admin Center to contact Microsoft 365 Business Billing Support before October 14. If you bought the subscription through a Microsoft partner, contact them instead, as they manage it on your behalf.
I hope this helps. Looking forward to your reply.
