i want to activate my office home and student 2019 version that i licensed to a new macbook i bought . However even though my license is shown in the subscription page , microsoft still says it cant find my activation key and not able to activate my word and excel programs please help as it is becoming a big problem now .

    If your version of Office is Office Home and Student, then the error you are seeing is caused by an update in July, many people are seeing the exact same error, after that update, it is no longer possible to update the security certificates on Office 2019 on an Apple Mac device, your Office apps will go into Read Only mode, on the link below they provide full details on that update
