When I open onedrive in the Gui I see at the botom left that I have space. 10%

    Hello Dimitrios Bastis,

I see that you’ve already purchased the extra 1 TB and OneDrive shows 2 TB total with 10% free. So I wouldn’t assume you need to buy more storage.

Could you try uploading a small file directly on the OneDrive website? Does it give the same “Not enough cloud storage” error, or does the error happen only when saving from your PC? That will help narrow down whether this is specific to the app or also happens on the website.

Switching from Microsoft 365 Family to Microsoft 365 Premium does not give you an additional 1 TB of storage.

However, the plan owner can purchase an additional 1 TB of storage. Are you the plan owner, and have you purchased an additional 1 TB of storage?

This usually happens because the new OneDrive quota has not fully updated everywhere after the plan change.

    1. Check Manage storage and refresh the page.
      • Storage upgrades can take up to 24 hours to appear.
      • If the account was locked, it can take up to 2 hours after buying storage for the new quota to show.
    2. If the storage still shows correctly on the web but the Windows sync app still says Not enough cloud storage, unlink and relink OneDrive on the PC.
      • Select the OneDrive cloud icon in the taskbar.
      • Open Help & Settings > Settings.
      • Open the Account tab.
      • Select Unlink this PC.
      • Sign in again with the same Microsoft account that has the upgraded storage.
    3. If the quota still does not update after waiting:
      • If this is a shared Microsoft 365 subscription benefit, confirm the invitation was accepted.
      • After accepting, storage changes can take 2 hours to appear. Go to Manage storage, refresh, and check again.
    4. If the purchased additional storage still is not reflected after the wait period:
      • If it has been more than 24 hours, refresh Manage storage again.
      • If it still has not updated after 48 hours, contact support.

While over quota, OneDrive can block uploading, editing, or syncing new files even though existing files remain read-only.
