Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
If the purchase is a Microsoft 365 subscription started from the app, it is not limited to Excel only.
Microsoft 365 Personal, Family, Premium, and Pro subscriptions are account-based subscriptions, and on mobile devices they allow use of Microsoft 365 apps such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote, depending on the plan. The subscription is associated with the Microsoft account signed in to the apps, not just the single app where the purchase started.
To verify exactly what was purchased:
- On the Android device, open the Google Play subscription details for the purchase and check the subscription name.
- Sign in to
https://account.microsoft.com/servicesand check whether the subscription appears there and what plan name is listed. - In the Microsoft 365 app or an Office app, sign in with the same Microsoft account used for the purchase.
If the subscription turns out to be Microsoft 365 Basic, that plan includes 100 GB of OneDrive storage and the free online versions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in a web browser, not the full installed desktop app versions.
If the subscription is Microsoft 365 Personal or Family, it includes broader Microsoft 365 benefits, not just Excel.
