A fully managed end-to-end service for digitally signing code, documents, and applications. (formerly Trusted Signing)
Open the validation record itself to check for a detail-level action, then request a status review through Microsoft Q&A without creating or deleting the current validation.
Check the full validation status
- In the Azure portal, open the relevant Artifact Signing account.
- Select Objects → Identity validations.
- Open the specific organization validation rather than relying only on the account overview.
- Review the details for:
- Action Required
- Email verification
- Another requested document or verification step
- A failed or expired step
Identity validation can be completed only through the Azure portal, not through Azure CLI. Israel is currently supported for organization Public Trust validation.^1^
Also check the primary contact mailbox—including junk/quarantine—for messages sent after the November 1 document upload. A similar case reports an expected response around seven days when the submitted documents are acceptable, with issues communicated to the primary email address.^2^
Because the additional document was uploaded on November 1, the relevant review period may effectively run from that submission rather than from the original request date.
Request the status review
Microsoft’s documented channels for identity-validation assistance are Azure Support and Microsoft Q&A using the artifact-signing tag. The FAQ also states that pending requests cannot be expedited and that creating additional requests for the same entity does not help.^3^
Since the Basic plan does not include Azure technical support, continue with this Q&A case and add:
- The validation request ID, partially redacted—for example, only the final four characters.
- The Artifact Signing account’s Azure region.
- Validation type: Organization / Public Trust or Private Trust.
- Original submission date.
- Date Microsoft requested additional documentation.
- Date the incorporation certificate was uploaded.
- Confirmation that the detail pane still says In Progress with no Action Required.
- Confirmation that the primary mailbox and quarantine contain no new request.
Ask a Microsoft moderator to arrange a private channel for the complete validation ID, subscription details, and organization information. Do not publish those values in the Q&A thread.
Closely matched cases—organization validation remaining In Progress for 10 days or more than two weeks—were resolved after the validation team received the case details and reviewed the request.^4^^5^
Do not restart the request yet
Do not delete this request merely because it remains In Progress. Microsoft specifically advises against creating duplicate validations while one is pending.^3^
Deletion and resubmission apply to documented conditions such as a missing or expired email-verification link. They are not the supported first action when the record remains In Progress, shows no outstanding action, and has already received additional documentation.
If no moderator response is available, Microsoft customer support for Israel is an additional routing option, but customer service might still redirect an Artifact Signing validation issue to Q&A or Azure technical support.^6^
