Some email accounts marked for deletion

i have outlook configured for a number of different email accounts across various domains.

Last week email addresses for one domain have been "locked" and show as marked for deletion.

One of these email addresses is the account registered for 365 and shows as a valid subscription.

Trying to get support but the help options appear to insist that I am not an admin user and need to contct my company admin to report the problem.

I have a personal "domestic" account not a company one.

OWA reports an error but no option to report it for support.

I predominately use a MAC and an iPhone but have also tried a windows 11 laptop with identical results.

All updates are applied.

How do I either get proper support or these accounts set to continue usage?

    Hi @Peter Nixon

I’m sorry to hear that several of your email accounts have been locked and marked for deletion. I understand how concerning this is, especially when one of the affected addresses is linked to an active Microsoft 365 subscription.

Since the same issue occurs in Outlook for Mac, iPhone, Windows 11, and Outlook on the web, it appears to be related to the email accounts or domain service rather than a specific Outlook application or device.

Please sign in directly to your domain hosting or email provider’s management portal and check whether the affected mailboxes, domain registration, or hosting plan has been suspended or scheduled for deletion. A valid Microsoft 365 Personal or Family subscription does not necessarily mean that Microsoft hosts email addresses using a custom domain.

If the affected account is a Microsoft-hosted mailbox, please contact Microsoft consumer support using another working Microsoft account.

    • Go to Contact Microsoft Support.
    • Select Show expanded list of products.
    • Select Outlook > Get Home support.
    • Enter Outlook live chat, then select Get Help > Contact Support.
    • Sign in with the affected account. If that is not possible, use another Microsoft account to view the available support options.
    • Ask our Support Assistant > Type "Talk to live chat agent" > Contact Support
    • Under Products & Services, select Other Products > Outlook, then choose Chat with a support agent in your web browser.

    Thank you for your understanding.
