Account recovery requests repeatedly rejected despite correct information

Both of my Microsoft accounts were blocked at the same time in July. I was then asked to enter a verification code that was being sent to one of the blocked accounts, which made the verification process impossible.

The issue happened while I was traveling outside my home country, and it appears that the system may have treated my login attempts as unusual activity.

Since then, I have submitted more than 50 account recovery requests for my main account. I am confident that the information I provided is accurate, but the recovery system continues to reject my requests without clearly explaining what information is incorrect.

There also seems to be a contradiction in the recovery process. The recovery form asks me to provide the last email addresses I sent messages to, along with the subject lines. However, the rejection email suggests providing information about people or colleagues who sent emails to me. This makes it unclear which information the system actually expects.

I have already completed the same recovery form dozens of times without any progress.

Is there any alternative way to have this case reviewed or escalated to a specialized Microsoft support team when the automated recovery system continues to reject the request despite accurate information?

I would appreciate any practical guidance other than simply being directed back to the same recovery form.

Thank you, but unfortunately all your responses have been unhelpful and follow the same approach as Microsoft’s support.

I can certainly understand your frustration here as I have been in exactly the same boat you're in now. Although I do wish there was more information that I can give you I'm afraid that there is not.

    Thank you for your response.

The issue is that I have already provided the correct information multiple times, and I am 100% certain that the information I submitted is accurate, yet the system continues to reject my recovery requests.

There is also a clear inconsistency in the recovery process. The recovery form asks for the email addresses and subject lines of messages that I have sent, while the rejection email advises providing information about emails that friends or contacts have sent to me. This makes the process confusing and contradictory.

Unfortunately, this suggests that the recovery system is not functioning effectively, especially when accurate information is repeatedly rejected without any clear explanation of what is missing or incorrect.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble.

However, I'm afraid that there is no other way to regain access to your account other than to continue completing the form. It is specifically designed to help you remember information though. After each completion I'd recommend writing down the information you've already provided and then try changing some things in future tries.

I have had the same experience as you are having by the way when I lost access to one of my oldest accounts and it did take me a few months of tries before I came across the correct amount of information to regain access.
