Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Hi Roger E,
I understand why the difference between the quoted renewal price and the final charge would be concerning, especially when the email indicated $125.30 but the amount charged was $139.00.
Before contacting support again, please sign in with the personal Microsoft account used for the purchase and review the transaction in Microsoft account Order history. Open the relevant order and check whether the $139 total includes any tax, fee, or pricing adjustment that was not shown in the earlier renewal notice.
If the order details do not explain the $13.70 difference, this will need to be reviewed by Microsoft Billing Support. You can contact them through the official Microsoft Support page. When prompted, enter Microsoft 365 billing charge, select Get Help, and then choose the available option to contact a support agent.
Please have the following information ready:
- The September 22 email showing the expected charge of $125.30
- The September 28 receipt or bank statement showing the $139 charge
- The order number shown in your Microsoft account
- The name of the employer discount program, if available
For your privacy, do not post the full receipt, card number, order number, or account details publicly.
Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Contributors and moderators cannot access billing records or issue refunds, so only Microsoft Billing Support can confirm why the renewal amount changed and determine whether the difference is refundable. Microsoft also provides an official guide for investigating a billing charge. Thank you so much for your understanding.
