Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Yes. If the subscription is tied to an account that can no longer be accessed, the supported path is to contact Microsoft support directly for billing help.
Recommended steps:
- Try the sign-in recovery path first if the account might still be recoverable:
- Use the Sign-in helper.
- If sign-in is restored, go to Services & subscriptions to check the subscription status, cancellation, or recurring billing.
- If the account cannot be accessed, contact a live support option:
- Go to Contact Microsoft Support.
- Enter the billing problem and select Get Help.
- If more help is needed, select Contact Support to be routed to the best support option.
- If the charge might be on a different Microsoft account:
- Use the Manage your payments page to investigate the billing charge.
- If the subscription was not purchased directly from Microsoft:
- If bought through a third-party retailer such as Amazon, Best Buy, or Harvey Norman, cancellation and billing must be handled with that seller.
- If bought through Google Play or the Apple App Store, contact that store’s support for cancellation or refund.
- If a payment method may be compromised:
- Contact the bank or payment provider to prevent more charges.
Closing card accounts is not the recommended first step. Microsoft support or the billing provider should be contacted first so the subscription and charges can be investigated correctly.
