I'm receiving invoices for a subscription that I have tried to cancel and I can no longer access the account.

Is there any possible way to get a person help. If not I will just need to close all my card accounts to stop the ongoing subscription payments.

Hi, I'm Bernard. I'm happy to help!

The option to cancel the subscription is to access the account and cancel it, or you may contact your bank first and check if they can block or remove the subscription. If not, try to recover the account by following the steps below:

Method 1. Recover a Microsoft account by resetting the password:

Go to this link: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2273955 and follow the prompts to reset the password.

    For reference: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/reset-a-forgotten-microsoft-account-password-eff4f067-5042-c1a3-fe72-b04d60556c37

Method 2. If you cannot reset the password or are unable to verify the account, I recommend submitting a recovery form:

    https://account.live.com/acsr

Please complete the form and expect a reply within a couple of days.

Note: If the issue persists, you may reach Microsoft Accounts and Billing support by following the steps below:

    Go to this link: https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact

In the search bar, type in your issue, then hit Enter.

Scroll down to the bottom and select the blue button "Contact Support"

Yes. If the subscription is tied to an account that can no longer be accessed, the supported path is to contact Microsoft support directly for billing help.

    Recommended steps:

    1. Try the sign-in recovery path first if the account might still be recoverable:
    2. If the account cannot be accessed, contact a live support option:
      • Go to Contact Microsoft Support.
      • Enter the billing problem and select Get Help.
      • If more help is needed, select Contact Support to be routed to the best support option.
    3. If the charge might be on a different Microsoft account:
    4. If the subscription was not purchased directly from Microsoft:
      • If bought through a third-party retailer such as Amazon, Best Buy, or Harvey Norman, cancellation and billing must be handled with that seller.
      • If bought through Google Play or the Apple App Store, contact that store’s support for cancellation or refund.
    5. If a payment method may be compromised:
      • Contact the bank or payment provider to prevent more charges.

Closing card accounts is not the recommended first step. Microsoft support or the billing provider should be contacted first so the subscription and charges can be investigated correctly.
