Why did Microsoft Update Delete my Office365 Program?

I paid for Office365 that had a lifetime use but recently after an Update by "MICROSOFT" It was removed and When I enter the Product Key (again) it tells me I need to have the Administrator get involved BUT I am the Computer Owner and It Won't Allow me to use the Product Key that was Associated with my Office365? Why does MICROSOFT make such changes and a non tech person (ME) has to jump through hoops to get what I PAID For back and WORKING????? On it is on Me to Get OFFICE365 Working again. If MICROSOFT CAUSE THIS They Need to FIX IT!!! But Microsoft has Zero Assiatnce when they Cause Such Problem why is THAT?

I would NEVER Remove a Program that I use often and PAID For!!!

Great why does not MICCOSOFT alert Buyers that it is not for use ! I see also Microsoft need Moeny and that means I will have to Purcase Yet Another Copy. As The first Copty I got via Amazom when I Ateempted to load it Microsoft stated that Product Key was already USED!!!!!! Guess this the ONLY Way Microsoft can make Money Abusing Users who Purchase their Products ---Sad and very Disappointing--- Guess that is how Microsoft stays in Buiness with These Tricks! Got It Looks LIke will go with LibreOffice and stop buying any Microsoft. But Please explain Why A WIndows Update DELETE IT just like when they made the Change / Update and Now Any Pictures I save are auto Duplicated using double the Hard Drive Space. Due again to a MICROSFT UPDATE. ANd They have No Fix so I have to delete the double to save Hard Drive Space. Guess the Microsoft Engineers did not KNow and Let it slide right BY! Hiw does the Pblic deal with such Poor Engineered Products? Guess we are Just STUCK. Also Sad and DISAPPOINTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I Regret having to Use Microsoft for anything it is all about needing to Buy again and again!.

But that keeps Microsoft inbusiness with No Tech Support but this coomunity that is helping Mircosoft selling products yet when You have already Paid!

To be fair, how is that Microsoft's fault since Microsoft cannot control random sellers out there reselling keys they are not supposed to resell to users outside of their organizations, or worse, illegal sellers selling you a fake copy? Amazon has your money, not Microsoft. You need to dispute with Amazon in this case and get your money back.

When you see an office license being sold at a fraction of the price, you stay away from those.

Mike, Office 365 is not the name of a life-time license.

Do you know the exact name of the license you paid for? For example, is it Office Pro Plus/Standard/LTSC 2016, or 2019, or 2021, or 2024 by chance?

Did you buy it from a third party, like GroupOn?

You were scammed and bought a license that's not meant for home users. The Pro Plus product is not designed for home users. It is a volume license, which means it is intended for organizations, not individuals. These licenses are managed by an organization’s IT department and are tied to a contract with Microsoft. Because of how volume licensing works, activation may depend on things like installation limits or periodic validation through an organization’s KMS server. Those processes require IT support from the organization that owns the license. That is why these licenses are not meant to be sold to individuals. Home users typically do not have access to the IT infrastructure needed to manage or maintain them. Unfortunately, some third-party sellers offer these licenses at very low prices. They may seem like a good deal, but they are often resold in ways that violate the licensing terms. Most buyers are not aware of these details until problems occur.

If I bought this with a perpetual licence that has no fixed end date and is intended to remain in effect indefinitely why was it removed from my computer as This is the license I bought PERPETUAL LICENSE why can't I get it BACK?

Contact the seller. They shouldn't have sold you a volume license product because those are not for personal use.

There are two one-time purchase licenses for personal use: Office Home 2024 and Office Home & Business 2024.

Mike, I understand what you mean by a perpetual license. A legitimate perpetual license does not normally expire after a year or require you to keep paying a subscription.

The problem here is not the word “perpetual.” The problem is what type of license the seller actually gave you.

Microsoft Office Professional/Professional Plus licenses are organization/volume-license products rather than the normal retail products sold to individual home users. For an individual buying Office 2024 outright, Microsoft's consumer products are Office Home 2024 and Office Home & Business 2024. Microsoft will NEVER sell you a Professional Plus license. Volume license is not perpetual license.

A third-party seller can sell you a product key and call it a “perpetual license,” but that does not necessarily mean they sold you a legitimate retail license that belongs permanently to you.

For example, the key could have come from an organization's volume-license agreement. It may activate initially, but if that organization's license is later revoked, exceeds its permitted activations, or requires validation against that organization's licensing system, your copy can stop activating. The message telling you to contact an administrator is another clue that this is an organization-managed license.

I am quite certain that you bought it from a third party seller. You would need to contact that seller for a refund if they sold you a volume-license key as a personal perpetual license.
