When invited attendees click “Join” in the Teams app, they are unable to enter the meeting.

On my side as the organizer, their status appears as “No response,” and I do not receive any lobby notifications to admit them.

Hi @SHC,

The "No response" status only reflects the RSVP status of the meeting invitation, meaning the attendee has not responded with Accept, Tentative, or Decline. It does not indicate whether they have clicked Join or are currently waiting in the meeting lobby.

As the organizer, you would only receive a notification after an attendee has successfully submitted a request to join and entered the lobby. If you do not receive any lobby notifications and do not see them in the lobby participant list, it is possible that the affected attendees are not getting past the pre-join stage, rather than their admission request being missed by the organizer. Teams only displays participants after they have successfully reached the lobby.

In addition, if the meeting has multiple organizers, co-organizers, or presenters who have permission to manage the lobby, any of them may receive and act on the lobby request. If your meeting includes other users with these roles, it may also be worth checking whether someone else inadvertently denied the attendee's request to join.

In the meantime, could you please help clarify the following?

  • If both the organizer and the attendee use Teams on the web, does the meeting join process work as expected?
  • When the affected attendees click Join, do they see any message such as "Waiting for someone to let you in", or do they encounter a different message or error?
  • Are the affected attendees internal users, external users, or both?
  • Does the issue affect all invitees, or only specific users?

Thank you for taking the time to provide the information. I look forward to your update, as the additional details will help me gain a clearer understanding of the situation and provide guidance that is more relevant to your specific scenario.
