Hello everyone,

Microsoft Teams is stuck on the loading screen and does not open successfully on a Windows device. The issue affects only me, while other users in the same organization can use Teams normally.

I have already restarted the computer and confirmed that the internet connection is stable.

    Dear Mola Zest,

Since the issue affects only one user, it is likely related to the local Teams application, user profile, or cached application data.

    Kindly try the following steps:

    Completely quit Microsoft Teams.

    1> Clear Teams cache

Please refer to this article to clear Teams cache. Clear the Teams client cache - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Learn

    2> Repair Teams app

In Start Menu > Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Teams > three dots > Advanced options > Repair

If it is not available or does not help the problem, select Reset. Repair apps and programs in Windows | Microsoft Support

    3> Using Teams on web.

Test Teams on the web to determine whether the issue is limited to the desktop client.

If the issue continues, update or reinstall Teams.

In addition, you should also check the Microsoft 365 Service health dashboard to rule out an active service incident. If you are an end-user, please contact your IT Admin for this step. How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? | Microsoft Support

I hope the information shared helps point you in the right direction.

Since the PC restart and internet check are already done, use this order:

    1. Sign out of Teams and sign back in
In Teams, select the profile picture at the top right > Sign out. Close Teams, reopen it, and sign in again.
    2. Force-close Teams completely
On Windows, go to the taskbar, right-click the Microsoft Teams icon, and select Quit. Then start Teams again. This forces a refresh and can restore loading.
    3. Clear the Teams cache on Windows
This removes local cached data that can prevent Teams from loading. It does not uninstall Teams, but it does remove local web client cache, thumbnails, local message history, display images, and add-ons.
      • Right-click the Teams icon in the taskbar and choose Quit.
      • Open File Explorer.
      • Paste this path into the address bar: %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams
      • Delete the contents of that folder.
      • Reopen Teams and sign in again.
    4. Try Teams on the web
Open https://teams.microsoft.com/. If the web app works, the problem is likely limited to the desktop client.
    5. If Teams also does not load in the browser, check browser trust/cookie settings
A known cause is using the browser Trusted Sites feature without adding the required Microsoft Teams URLs. In that case, Teams can fail to load in Edge, Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. Admin rights might be required to change these settings.
    6. If the issue continues, uninstall and reinstall Teams
This is listed as a next step when cache clearing and sign-out do not resolve reconnect/loading issues.

If this is a Teams for Education environment, the institution IT admin may also need to verify Teams permissions, updates, or access policies for the affected account.
