I am using Power Automate to create Microsoft Bookings services through the Microsoft Graph API.
The flow successfully creates the service and assigns the correct staff members using the staffMemberIds property. The service is created exactly as expected, and the required staff members appear under the service.
However, every newly created service is defaulting to:
Assign all staff members to the appointment
instead of:
Assign selected staff to the appointment
Because of this, Bookings is not considering the availability of all assigned staff members when customers schedule appointments. The scheduling behavior does not appear to match what I see when I manually create a service and select "Assign selected staff to the appointment."
This is a critical requirement for our implementation because we need Bookings to check the calendars of the specific staff members assigned to the service before showing available appointment times.
Questions
- Is there a Graph API property that controls the "Assign selected staff to the appointment" setting?
- Can this setting be configured when creating a service through Power Automate or Microsoft Graph?
- Has anyone successfully automated the creation of Bookings services while preserving the same scheduling behavior as manually selecting "Assign selected staff to the appointment" in the Bookings UI?
- If this setting is not currently exposed through Graph, is there a recommended workaround?
- Microsoft Bookings service is created successfully.
-
staffMemberIds are being populated correctly.
- Tested both service creation and service updates.
- I have not been able to find a Graph API property that changes the scheduling behavior to "Assign selected staff to the appointment."
Any guidance from Microsoft or others who have implemented Bookings through Power Automate would be greatly appreciated.I am using Power Automate to create Microsoft Bookings services through the Microsoft Graph API.
