Teams Facilitator: Option to reduce automated chat messages during meetings

During Microsoft Teams meetings, the Facilitator can post a large number of automated messages to the meeting chat. In some sessions this creates noise, makes it harder to follow participant discussions, and can distract from the meeting content.

Could an option be added to reduce, customize, or disable Facilitator-generated chat messages for organizers and facilitators?

This would help keep the meeting chat focused on participant communication while still allowing facilitators to use their features when needed.

Hi Ulm, Matthias,

Facilitator is designed to post real-time updates, agenda information, and other meeting-related content in the meeting chat, which can result in a high volume of automated messages.

At this time, there doesn't appear to be a setting to customize or selectively reduce Facilitator-generated chat messages. Facilitator can be turned off during the meeting, which stops automated note-taking and further Facilitator activity.

Your suggestion for more granular controls, such as reducing, customizing, or disabling automated chat messages while keeping Facilitator features enabled, is valuable feedback. I would encourage you to submit feedback through the Microsoft Teams Community so it can be reviewed as a potential feature improvement.
