It's been a thing for like three decades now in any voice whatever software, why is Teams such a pos?
should i ask copilot to hack the whole thing or is there any straightforward way to do, what used to/should be, drag and drop an audio file in a folder?

    Hi @FASTRE Julien

Teams currently allows you to choose from the available built-in ringtones under:

Settings → Calls → Call handling and forwarding → Choose a ringtone

However, Microsoft does not currently document a supported option to upload your own .mp3, .wav, or .ogg file as an incoming-call ringtone.

I had confused the custom notification sound functionality under Notifications and activity with the separate call ringtone setting.

So, for the original question, there is currently no supported drag-and-drop/upload method for using your own audio file as a Teams call ringtone. I don't recommend modifying Teams application folders as a workaround.

Apologies for the incorrect information in my original response.

    Hello

No, Teams doesn't have the option to customize ringtones. If you try the instructions given to you by AI, you will realize those options don't exist.

It only lets you choose from Microsoft’s built-in ringtones. If this is a feature important to you, consider submitting feedback to the product team: https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback
