My Microsoft payment is due. I have been trying have been trying to enter my card for days now. The card you have of file has expired and the bank have issued a new one.

I have entered the details exactly as on the card and every time the name is rejected. I have omitted the MS in front of my name, tried upper and lower case but nothing works.

I have been using the card elsewhere, both on line and shops and restaurants. It has been accepted.
My bank account has my name exactly as on the card.

I have emails from you saying my time is running out. I want to pay. I used Excel six out of the seven days a week. I cannot lose access to all my data.

Please help.

For a Microsoft 365 personal subscription, the fastest supported path is:

    1. Sign in to Services & subscriptions at https://account.microsoft.com/services/.
    2. Find the Microsoft 365 subscription and select Pay now if it shows as past due.
    3. Check the payment method on that subscription. If the existing card is expired, update the expiration date if possible, or add a new payment method on the Services & subscriptions page.
    4. Complete the payment.

Important checks based on Microsoft guidance:

    • If the subscription is already past due, that can block removing or changing payment options until the balance is paid.
    • If using PayPal, it must have a linked credit card or confirmed bank account, and the linked funding source must have sufficient funds and not be expired.
    • Banks may require an extra identity verification step before the transaction is approved, so bank and Microsoft account contact details should be current.

Since the card details are already being entered exactly and the card works elsewhere, use Contact Support for account-specific billing help:

    • Go to Contact Microsoft Support
    • Enter the problem and select Get Help
    • If needed, select Contact Support to reach the best support option

This is the supported escalation path when the payment method still will not validate.
