My Microsoft 365 Subscription was due for renewal on 1 November 2026. I got messages from you saying it has been renewed. I ams still getting messages that you need to renew to continue my subscription. I have the correct Account and money to pay it, but there is no button or facility to PAY NOW.

Can you please fix this??

    Hi, @Jeffrey Green

To help narrow down the issue:

    1. Are you seeing this message on a Windows PC or a Mac?
    2. When you sign in to your Microsoft account at https://account.microsoft.com/services does the subscription show as active there, or still unpaid?

If you haven't tried anything yet (Windows PC):

    • Make sure you're signed in with the same Microsoft account that the subscription is linked to.
    • Then, open any Office app (like Word or Excel), go to File > Account, and click "Update License" to refresh your subscription status.

    If you're using Mac (MacOS):

    • Open any Microsoft 365 app such as Word. > At the top of the screen, select Word (or the app name) in the menu bar. > Select About Word. > Click More Info… > Select "Refresh License".
    • After that, close any open documents and completely restart all Microsoft 365 apps so the license refresh can take effect.

If the issue persists, please provide more details by answering my questions.

Click "Add comment" to let me know.

    Thanks!

Contact Microsoft’s Accounts and Billing team through Get Home Support, because only a support agent can inspect the renewal transaction and correct the subscription status.

    Reach a human support agent

    1. Open Microsoft Contact Support.
    2. Sign in with the Microsoft account attached to the subscription.
    3. Select Microsoft 365 → Get Home Support.
    4. Enter Billing issue – renewal reported but payment is still requested and no Pay now option appears.
    5. Select Contact Support.
    6. Under Products and services, choose Microsoft 365 and Office.
    7. Under Category, choose Manage my subscription.
    8. Select Chat with a support agent in your web browser. If offered, Call me back is another live-agent option.

This is the established support route for Microsoft 365 billing cases where payment cannot be completed through the subscription page.^1^ Microsoft’s support service confirms that account and billing requests may be routed to chat or another appropriate support option.^2^

Have these details ready, but do not post them publicly:

    • The renewal date: 1 November 2026
    • The renewal-confirmation message
    • The continuing payment or renewal notice
    • The subscription name shown in the account
    • Any order number or payment entry
    • The last four digits of the payment method, if requested securely by the agent

Check what the account currently records

Before the chat, open the Services & subscriptions page from your Microsoft account and note whether Microsoft 365 says:

    • Has recurring billing with a future renewal date
    • Expires on a particular date
    • Past due
    • Expired
    • Active

The displayed renewal or expiration date is Microsoft’s online record of the subscription status.[^3^](https://support.microsoft.com/accounts-billing/subscriptions/[Subscription ID]'t-working "Problems renewing a Microsoft 365 subscription")

If it already shows Active with the correct future date, close every Microsoft 365 application and reopen it. You might also have to sign in again with the account associated with the subscription to clear an outdated renewal notice.[^3^](https://support.microsoft.com/accounts-billing/subscriptions/[Subscription ID]'t-working "Problems renewing a Microsoft 365 subscription")

If Microsoft does not manage the payment

If the subscription page has no Manage, Change payment, or similar billing options, check whether it was purchased through Apple, Google Play, Amazon, or another retailer. Third-party subscriptions must be renewed and paid through that provider rather than through Microsoft.[^4^](https://support.microsoft.com/accounts-billing/subscriptions/[Subscription ID] "Where can I manage my Microsoft 365 subscription? | Microsoft Support")
