Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Cancel the Microsoft 365 subscription from the purchasing account; the cancellation page will automatically determine whether the €176.13 charge qualifies for a refund.
Cancel and request the refund
- Open https://account.microsoft.com/services/microsoft365.
- Sign in with the same Microsoft account used to purchase Microsoft 365.
- Locate the subscription and select Manage.
- Select Cancel or Upgrade or Cancel.
- Complete the cancellation prompts. If eligible, the page will display the refund option and the next steps. Not every cancellation produces a refund.[^1^](https://support.microsoft.com/accounts-billing/subscriptions/[Subscription ID] "Microsoft subscription refund policy | Microsoft Support")
If the page displays Turn on recurring billing, automatic renewal is already disabled and the subscription is scheduled to expire. That status alone does not submit a new cancellation request.[^2^](https://support.microsoft.com/accounts-billing/subscriptions/[Subscription ID] "Microsoft 365(#tab/microsoft-365)")
Refund eligibility
For subscriptions bought directly from Microsoft:
- An initial purchase may generally qualify if cancelled within 30 days of purchase or before the first recurring billing date, whichever comes first.
- The most recent recurring charge may qualify if cancellation occurs within 30 days after payment. This right is limited to one time per Microsoft account, per subscription product.
- Some countries offer prorated refunds under additional conditions.[^1^](https://support.microsoft.com/accounts-billing/subscriptions/[Subscription ID] "Microsoft subscription refund policy | Microsoft Support")
The €176.13 amount cannot be guaranteed until the cancellation system checks the purchase date, subscription type, country, and payment history.
If no refund is offered
- If purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play, request cancellation and refund from that store rather than Microsoft.
- If purchased using a prepaid retail code, the retailer’s return policy applies.
- For a direct Microsoft purchase that appears eligible but shows no refund, use Contact Microsoft Support, select Get Help, and then Contact Support.[^1^](https://support.microsoft.com/accounts-billing/subscriptions/[Subscription ID] "Microsoft subscription refund policy | Microsoft Support")
Do not post payment details, order numbers, or account information publicly.
