Cannot add another email account to my outlook

I have several different emails set up on my outlook. However, when I try to add another email, it is giving me an error message that states I have reached the maximum amount of accounts that can be added. How can this be corrected?

    @Morgan King

    You tagged your Question as | Classic Outlook for Windows | and the workaround for that client has already been noted.

    But if you are actually using New Outlook for Windows, you can also use the "New Profile" trick, to get around the account limit with New Outlook for Windows as well.

    It may depend on whether you’re using New Outlook or Classic Outlook. If you’re already using several accounts and Outlook says you’ve reached the maximum, I’d first check which version you’re using and how many accounts are currently added.

    If this is Classic Outlook, one workaround is to create a separate Outlook profile and add the additional accounts there. You can create one by holding Shift while starting Outlook, then selecting Options > New in the profile picker. Microsoft supports using multiple profiles when you need separate groups of email accounts.

    If you’re using New Outlook, the steps and account limits are different. It would be helpful to know the exact Outlook version and how many email accounts are currently added, since Microsoft doesn't document the same account limit for Windows Outlook as it does for the mobile apps.

    Hi, @Morgan King

    Have you already checked how many email accounts are listed under File > Account Settings > Account Settings > Email?

    Classic Outlook has a default limit of 10 Exchange-based accounts in a single Outlook profile. If you have reached that limit, one option is to create a separate Outlook profile and add the additional account there.

    Microsoft explains how to create another Outlook profile here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/create-an-outlook-profile
