Hello,

Please assist asp.

My credit card has been charged monthly for the past 6 months for a Microsoft 365 Business subscription. We are no longer using this subscription, but I am unable to log in to the admin account to cancel it.

Every time I try to log in using our email/admin credentials, it fails, and I cannot access the Admin Center to stop the recurring charges. I can provide the prove that been charge every month.

Since I cannot access the account to open a support ticket from inside the portal, how can I reach the Microsoft Data Protection / Billing team to verify ownership, cancel this subscription, and stop further charges to my card?

Thank you.

    Hi Bella,

Thank you for sharing this information.

Just to gently clarify before we go any further, this is a user‑to‑user support forum. I don’t have access to Microsoft’s billing systems, so I’m not able to directly cancel subscriptions or take billing-related actions. However, I’m more than happy to help review your situation and guide you toward the appropriate next steps.

This situation usually occurs when the admin password has expired or been changed, or when the admin mailbox is no longer active, which prevents access to the Microsoft 365 admin center.

As an immediate first step, I kindly recommend contacting your bank to temporarily lock your card or block payments to this merchant, so that no further charges are made while the cancellation is in progress. After that, please follow the steps below:

When you reach out, it helps to have the following details ready:

    • The last 4 digits of the credit card
    • Charge dates and amounts
    • Any known Microsoft account email addresses that could be linked to the charges.

This will help the billing team quickly locate the source of the transactions.

Hopefully this helps guide you toward a quick resolution. Should any further questions arise, please don’t hesitate to reach out again.

Thank you for your understanding, and wishing you a wonderful day ahead.
