How do I cancel a subscription I was charged on but no longer use or have access to the non-Microsoft account? The account was tied into my old GoDaddy.com account. Microsoft was one of their add-on subscriptions.

If the subscription was purchased through GoDaddy as an add-on, cancellation must be handled by the seller that sold the subscription. For third-party retailer purchases, Microsoft directs customers to contact that provider directly to manage subscription and billing.

If the charge might still be tied to a Microsoft account, check whether the subscription appears under Services & subscriptions after signing in with the same Microsoft account used for purchase. If Turn on recurring billing appears instead of Manage, the subscription is already set to expire and no further automatic charge should occur after the shown date.

If access to the original account is no longer available, accepted support guidance in similar cases is:

    1. Contact Microsoft support through Contact Us and request subscription cancellation assistance. Verification is required.
    2. If the subscription cannot be accessed or verified, contact the card issuer or bank to block future Microsoft charges or replace the payment method.

If the charge is unfamiliar, investigate it from the Manage your payments page.

    Hi, @Daniel McClintock

Since you no longer have access to the account that the subscription was tied to, you may not be able to cancel it through the account itself.

This is a public forum, and neither forum members nor Microsoft Support have access to users' accounts or payment details to cancel the subscription for you.

The best course of action is to contact your bank or card provider and ask them to block the recurring charge. If necessary, you can also request a replacement card to prevent further charges.

Since you mentioned the subscription was originally an add-on through GoDaddy, you can also contact GoDaddy if the charge on your statement is coming from them.
