Hi Vaasuki,
Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum!
When signing into Office apps like PowerPoint, checking the prompt "Allow my organization/Microsoft to manage my device" connects your account directly to Windows. Removing the laptop from your online Microsoft account dashboard only unlinks the device remotely, but Windows keeps your profile cached locally.
Here is how you and your friend can safely remove your account from her laptop:
Step 1: Ensure Her Account Has Administrator Rights
Before removing your account, her account must be an Administrator so she isn't locked out of administrative tasks:
Have her sign in to Windows.
Press Windows Key + I to open Settings.
Go to Accounts > Other users (or Family & other users).
Click her account name, select Change account type, set it to Administrator, and click OK.
Step 2: Disconnect Your Account from Apps & Email
In Settings, navigate to Accounts > Access work or school.
If your account is listed there, click it and select Disconnect.
Next, go to Accounts > Email & accounts.
Find your account under Accounts used by other apps, click it, and select Remove.
Step 3: Delete Your Local User Profile (If Windows Created a Separate Sign-in Profile)
If your account appears as an actual Windows login on the lock screen:
Have your friend restart the laptop and sign in with her account.
Open Settings > Accounts > Other users.
Locate your account under Other users, click it, and select Remove > Delete account and data.
Step 4: Clear Saved Credentials
To prevent Office from signing you back in automatically:
Press the Windows Key, type Credential Manager, and open it.
Select Windows Credentials.
Under Generic Credentials, remove any entries starting with MicrosoftAccount:user= or MicrosoftOffice that reference your email address.
I hope this helps you get your account unlinked cleanly. Please let me know if you run into any permission prompts while following these steps.
