    Hi,

Have you changed the message sorting option? Pinned messages only appear when messages are sorted by date. Click the Sort icon (up and down arrows) and select Sort by Date. If a different sorting option is selected, your pinned messages may not appear.

Pinned messages in Outlook.com can disappear from the top of the inbox for a few common reasons:

    1. Check the Filter menu
If the message list is filtered, pinned items might not appear. In Outlook.com, select Filter above the message list, then select All.
    2. Check Focused Inbox / Other tab
If Focused Inbox is turned on, some messages may be in the Other tab instead of the main inbox. Open the Other tab and look for the missing messages. If found, select the message and choose Move to > Move to Focused inbox.
    3. Check Deleted Items
If the messages were deleted or removed from the inbox, open Deleted Items. If they are there, select Restore. If not, in Deleted Items select Recover items deleted from this folder and restore them if they appear there.
    4. Check Archive and Junk Email
Missing messages may have been moved unexpectedly. Open Archive and Junk Email and move any missing messages back to Inbox.
    5. Check rules
An Inbox rule or Sweep rule may be moving messages out of the inbox. Go to Rules settings on a computer and review any rules that move mail to other folders.
    6. Check recent sign-in activity
If messages disappeared unexpectedly, review account activity on the Recent activity page to confirm there was no unusual access.
    7. Search for one of the missing messages
Search by sender or subject and use All folders as the search scope. If the message is found, it may have been moved rather than deleted.

If the messages are found, they can be pinned again. In Outlook.com, pinning keeps a message at the top of the inbox, and pinned messages are only shown when the inbox is sorted by date.
