Using New Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
Hi @Mary Oates
I’m sorry you had to spend two hours being transferred between support agents without receiving a clear resolution. I understand how frustrating it is when messages appear to send but never reach the recipients.
Since sending now works in Outlook on the web but the problem continues in New Outlook for Windows, this points more toward the app’s local state or synchronization rather than the mailbox itself.
Please try the following:
- In New Outlook, select View > Sync, then send a simple text-only test message without a signature, attachment, image, or link.
- Check whether the message remains in Outbox or appears in Sent Items.
- Check your Inbox and Junk Email folders for any non-delivery report or message from “postmaster.”
- Close Outlook, then open Windows Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Outlook (new) > Advanced options and select Repair.
- If Repair does not help, select Reset. You may need to sign in and add your accounts again afterward.
Please confirm whether the test message appears in Sent Items and whether you receive any delivery notice. This will help determine whether the message was submitted by the app or rejected after sending.
