Log into this link with your Microsoft account, and enter your product key, you should be able to skip the steps to add a payment option and skip the recurring billing step.

If that process fails, try entering your product key on this link and also skip the steps to add a payment method and enable recurring billing.

Unfortunately the billing /redeem goes straight to the setup/office page, and they both won't give any way to skip recurring billing. The error code is ConversionBlockedSyndicated. When purchased at Curry's they had to give MS my credit card , even at that point. The card only has i month left on it. Is that the issue. Or is it "deeper". Any advice on a MS support phone number that "actually" works

Go to this link: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus

Select Microsoft 365

Click 'Get Home Support'.

In the box provided, type billing.

Press Enter, then on the next page, scroll down and click 'Sign in to Contact Support'.

Navigate to Microsoft 365 and Office - Manage my Subscription.

Select the 'Chat with support agent in web browser' option
