I have an urgent Microsoft 365 business account lockout. I cannot access Microsoft Authenticator or the admin portal. I am using another employee's account to be able to reach you. I have been without my email for two days and I am an office manager. My IT guy has also tried to get in touch with Microsoft Case #[Moderator note: Personally Identifiable Information removed] was created, please refer to this for further information. Dear Christina,

I'm sorry to hear you've been without your email for two days. I understand how disruptive that is, especially in your role. As a forum moderator, I genuinely wish I could directly access your account or delve into the backend systems and fix this for you. Unfortunately, my role here is limited to providing general guidance and solutions that can be applied by users. First, has your IT contact tried resetting MFA for your account? If they have admin access, they can do it themselves without waiting on Microsoft:

    1. Sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin center with an account that has at least the Authentication Administrator role.
    2. Go to Entra ID > Users and select your account.
    3. Select Authentication methods, then Require re-register MFA.

This removes your old Authenticator registration. The next time you sign in, you'll be asked to set up Microsoft Authenticator again. For reference: Manage user authentication methods for Microsoft Entra multifactor authentication

Also could you send me the email address that's locked by private message? I'll check the case and see what I can do to help move it forward. To open our private conversation, select the banner at the top of this thread.

    Looking forward to your reply.
