Try these steps in order:

- Press Windows + R.
- Type
Outlook.exe /safeand select OK. - If Outlook opens, an add-in is likely causing the problem.
- Disable Outlook add-ins
- In Outlook, go to File > Options > Add-Ins.
- Select COM Add-ins > Go.
- Clear all check boxes, select OK, then restart Outlook.
- If Outlook works, re-enable add-ins one at a time to find the cause.
- Update Office
- Open an Office app.
- Go to File > Account.
- Under Product Information, select Update Options > Update Now.
- Run an Office repair
- In Windows, open Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
- Find the Office installation, select Modify, then run Quick Repair first.
- If that does not help, run Online Repair.
- Online Repair reinstalls Office and requires an internet connection.
- Check for Outlook-specific issues
- If Outlook freezes when opening files or sending mail, external content, antivirus integration, a damaged profile, or corrupted Outlook data files can cause it.
- If antivirus is integrated with Outlook, disabling that integration can help. This can reduce protection, so use caution.
- Create a new Outlook profile
- Open Control Panel > Programs > User Accounts > Mail.
- Select Show Profiles.
- Remove the affected profile if appropriate, then select Add to create a new one.
- Run Microsoft’s Outlook troubleshooter
- The Classic Outlook Advanced Diagnostics troubleshooter can automatically check many common causes.
- It works for classic Outlook on Windows 10 or later.
If the error appears immediately at startup and the built-in Repair now button does nothing, the most relevant next actions are Safe Mode, disabling add-ins, and then a full Online Repair.
