Outlook (New and Web) - Web Add-Ins or Plugins are not interacting with Scheduler

I am trying to build a plugin for rooms reservations which needs to interact with the Rooms tab on the Scheduler window.

Currently I have to click on the Add Room button to manually add Rooms to the scheduler to look at multiple rooms.

Can we add rooms to this tab/field through the Plugin? This post tells that we cannot or it is not supported https://github.com/OfficeDev/office-js/issues/5449

Is this still true in Nov 2026?

    Hi @Adam Facilities

For now, I have not found any supported API that allows an add-in to programmatically interact with the Rooms pane or automatically add room resources in the Scheduling Assistant, nor have I found any documentation indicating that this limitation has changed as of November 2026.

Please note that this understanding is based on publicly available documentation and my own research, and it may not fully address your scenario. Since this is a user-to-user community forum and I am only a fellow community member, I do not have access to Microsoft's internal resources and cannot confirm this on Microsoft's behalf. For a more definitive answer, I recommend posting in the GitHub Community Forum, where Microsoft engineers and experienced developers may be able to confirm the current support status or advise whether this functionality is planned for a future release.

    I hope this helps.
