    Hello,

What exact error message do you receive when you run the Office 365 applications on your Mac? Can you share a screenshot of the error message here for reference?

Also, may I please know if you are running macOS version 12 or later?

Request a Microsoft technical-support callback through Get Help so a live agent can continue troubleshooting Word on your Mac without returning to the chat queue.

    Request a callback

    1. Open Microsoft’s customer-support page.
    2. Under Microsoft technical support, select Get help.
    3. Sign in with the Microsoft account used to purchase Microsoft 365 Personal.
    4. Enter Word for Mac installed but not working — need technical support callback, then select Get Help.
    5. Select Contact Support.
    6. Choose:
      • Product: Microsoft 365 and Office
      • Category: Technical Support
    7. Select Call me back or Request a call back, enter your telephone details, and keep the resulting case/reference number.

The callback option may depend on your region, local support hours, and current availability. If it is absent, retry during normal business hours. Microsoft’s documented contact process can route installation, activation, and Office technical problems to the appropriate support option ^1^. The callback selection is also documented in Microsoft Q&A’s moderator-recommended contact procedure ^2^.

When the agent calls, say immediately:

“This is Microsoft 365 Personal on macOS. Word is already downloaded and installed. My previous agent transferred me for screen sharing, but the connection was lost. Please open a technical-support case and reconnect me to Office for Mac support.”

    Have the following ready:

    • The Microsoft account used for the purchase
    • Your macOS version
    • The exact message shown when Word opens or activation is attempted
    • Any case number or transcript from yesterday
    • Proof of purchase, without sending passwords or full payment-card details

    If no callback option appears

The same official support page lists regional Microsoft customer-service telephone numbers ^1^. These are customer-service or sales listings, not guaranteed direct Office technical-support lines; ask the representative to transfer you to Microsoft 365 Personal technical support for Mac.

Microsoft 365 Personal officially includes live chat support, but it does not guarantee inbound telephone technical support; callback availability is determined through the contact workflow ^3^.
