    Welcome 25 Nicholas Timuta,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A, and thank you for checking before clicking anything.

Microsoft's official security emails for personal accounts come from the Microsoft account team at ******@accountprotection.microsoft.com. The address you mentioned uses a different domain, "msaccountsafety.com", so please treat it as suspicious (possible phishing) until you verify it directly through your account. Seeing this message does not by itself mean your account has been hacked, but it's worth a quick check. Please follow these steps:

    • Do not click any links, open attachments, reply, or share any code from that message. If it is in your inbox, select the message, then select Report > Report phishing in Outlook.com, and then delete it.
    • Check your account without using the message. Open a new browser tab, type https://account.live.com/Activity, and sign in. Review the Recent activity list for sign-ins from locations or devices you don't recognize. If you see an Unusual activity section, expand each item and select "This wasn't me" for anything that isn't yours.
    • If you see anything you don't recognize, or if you clicked a link or entered your password on a page opened from that message, go to https://account.microsoft.com/security, select Password security and change your password to a strong, unique one. Then go to "Manage how I sign in", and select "Sign out everywhere".
    • Turn on two-step verification at https://account.microsoft.com/security under "Advanced security options". This helps protect your account even if your password is stolen.

I hope it helps for you.
