Using Outlook for iOS in business environments for email and scheduling
Hello Ami,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community.
I understand that you receive notifications for incoming emails on your iPhone, but when you open the Outlook app, the emails disappear, and you cannot find them.
To help identify the cause, please try the following troubleshooting steps:
1/ Check your Inbox, Junk Email, Deleted Items, Archive, Other, and any custom folders to see whether the missing emails have been moved to another folder.
2/ In Outlook on the web, go to Settings > Mail > Rules. Review any rules that might automatically move, archive, or delete incoming emails. If you find a suspicious rule, temporarily disable it and check whether the issue persists.
3/ After checking your mailbox on Outlook on the web, open Outlook on your iPhone and check whether the same emails are visible there.
If the emails are available on the web but missing from the mobile app, the issue may be related to the app's synchronization or display.
If the issue persists, could you please confirm the following?
- Does the issue also occur when accessing Outlook on a desktop computer or through a web browser?
- Could you share a screenshot of the email notification you receive?
- Do the emails appear in Outlook after some time, or do they remain missing?
- Have you tried accessing your account using another phone, such as an Android device, to check whether the issue persists?
- Does this happen with all incoming emails or only certain emails?
- What type of email account are you using (IMAP, POP, or Exchange)?
Your answers will help us narrow down the cause and recommend the appropriate next steps.
Kind regards,
