Hello,

Recently my Minecraft account got hacked through a fake Discord verification system, and the attacker changed the email and the password of my Microsoft account, so I cannot log in to my Microsoft account anymore.

Details:

  • The attacker's email address that is now on my account is: ******@outlook.com
  • When I try to sign in to Minecraft with the hacked account, Microsoft asks to send a verification code to this unknown email address (******@outlook.com), which I do not own and cannot access.
  • My original email address on this account was: ******@outlook.com. Now the recovery page says the account does not exist, and I cannot create it again because the name is taken.
  • I did not make these changes. I lost control of the account because of the fake Discord verification.
  • I already tried all the account recovery methods and none of them worked.
  • When I try to contact support through the Get Help page, I get this error every time: Chat stream request failed: 500 - {"error":"Request headers must contain only ASCII characters."}

This account is very important to me, because it contains my Minecraft purchase and my data.

You can contact me at this email address: ******@gmail.com

Please help me to:

  1. Check the account and review the recent security changes (email, password, security info).
  2. Remove the attacker's email and security info from the account.
  3. Give me back access to my account and help me secure it.

I can provide any information that proves I am the real owner, such as the approximate creation date of the account, my Minecraft username, the email or receipt of my Minecraft purchase, and the devices I used before.

Thank you for your help.

Hello, I’m Virginia, please note we have no access to accounts so can only offer advice how to proceed.

Unfortunately it isn’t good news if recovery shows the account doesn’t exist as it indicates the hacker has changed the email to their own & deleted your account. However I will post the information I have on what to do in the hope it is recoverable.

    Try recovering your account here:

    Hacked:

    https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/how-to-recover-a-hacked-or-compromised-microsoft-account-24ca907d-bcdf-a44b-4656-47f0cd89c245

    Or:

    Can’t sign in:

    https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/you-can-t-sign-in-to-your-microsoft-account-475c9b5c-8c25-49f1-9c2d-c64b7072e735

You can also try https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact & type Account Recovery in the box, then choose the Contact Support tab above & select Windows, then recovery from the drop-down menus.

I have further options if this doesn’t work.
