Microsoft Copilot – missing chat/request history

Hello,

I would like to report an issue / suggest an improvement regarding Microsoft Copilot.

Until recently, I could easily see the list of my previous Copilot requests/conversations. This history is very important for my daily work because I frequently return to previous analyses, documents and ongoing activities.

At the moment, this list/history no longer appears as before, making it difficult to retrieve and continue previous work.

Could you please confirm whether this is an intentional change or a temporary issue? If it is a product change, I would strongly suggest restoring an easily accessible list of previous conversations/requests in the Copilot interface.

Thank you for your support and for considering this feedback.

Best regards,

Ivan Infante

    Hello,

    Thank you for the information.

I have now verified the account and can confirm that I am using my Stellantis work account, so this is not related to switching between personal and work accounts.

The issue remains: I cannot see the previous Copilot chat/request history as I could before.

Could you please confirm whether this is a temporary effect of the current migration/synchronization and whether the complete previous chat history will become visible again once the transition is completed?

For my daily professional use, access to previous conversations is very important, as I regularly need to continue ongoing analyses, documents and projects from earlier Copilot sessions.

If there is any additional check I should perform specifically for a corporate/work account, please let me know.

    Thank you for your support.

    Best regards,

    Ivan Infante

    Hello,

    Thank you for the clarification.

I understand that this may be related to the transition to the updated Copilot experience and that synchronization may still be in progress.

However, I would like to highlight one important point from a daily professional user perspective: having an immediately visible and easily accessible list of previous conversations is essential. I use Copilot extensively for ongoing analyses, documents and projects, and I frequently need to return to a previous conversation and continue the work from there.

Could you please confirm whether the previous chat/request list will become fully available again once the migration is completed, or whether the new Copilot experience is expected to manage conversation history differently?

If this is a permanent product change, I would strongly recommend restoring a clear and persistent list of previous conversations. For professional users, continuity between working sessions is a key part of the Copilot experience.

Thank you for your support and for considering this feedback.

    Best regards,

    Ivan Infante

This can be either part of the updated Copilot app transition or a temporary sync gap during rollout.

    Supported behavior includes:

    1. Chats can show as “coming soon.” If an account has moved to the updated Copilot app, chats and content might still be in the process of moving. Copilot remains usable during that time, and the app may provide a link to previous chats and content.
    2. Different devices can show different chats temporarily. Microsoft states that moving data takes time, and chat history may not appear consistently across devices until sync completes.
    3. Some content does not carry forward. Group Chat content does not move after August 18, 2026. Some features are also retired or temporarily unavailable during rollout.
    4. If multiple personal accounts are used, each can move at a different time. A private browsing session can be used to check whether a specific personal account has moved yet.

    Practical checks:

    1. Verify the account in use. Personal accounts and work or school accounts remain separate. Use the account switcher and confirm the expected account is selected.
    2. Restart or refresh Copilot. Close and reopen the app on each device, or refresh the web page.
    3. Allow time for migration and sync. Microsoft notes that the time required varies based on the amount and type of content being moved.
    4. If using multiple personal accounts, test each one separately. Start a private browsing session, go to copilot.microsoft.com, and sign in with the personal account to check whether it remains there or redirects to copilot.com.
    5. Send product feedback or report the issue in the app. In the Copilot app, select the ellipsis (…) in the upper-right corner, then Send feedback > Report a problem. Include when the issue started, device, operating system, and a screenshot.

For the product suggestion itself, Microsoft explicitly directs ongoing issues and feedback through Send feedback in the Copilot app.
