MS 365 Copilot basic UI does not appear in M365 Applications

We have users with Microsoft Business Premium and Microsoft E3 licenses. We have noticed that M365 Copilot basic chat appears in Word, Excel, powerpoint applications for Business Premium users but not for E3 license users

    Checks confirm that E3 users see Copilot Basic in the web portal only , while Business Premium users see Microsoft 365 Copilot Basic in the web portal as well in M365 Applications. The main difference is that Microsoft 365 Copilot Basic appears in Office applications for Business Premium users but not for E3 users.
