Hello,
To switch to a Microsoft Account on the Windows 11 device,
Step1:
- Sign in to the device with your Administrator account.
- Press Windows + R, type netplwiz, and click ok.
- Select Add > Sign in without a Microsoft Account (not recommended).
- Create a local account.
- Temporarily give the local account a username and password.
Then, select your new local account from the list on the User Accounts page, then select Properties.
In the 'Group membership' tab, add the new local account to the 'Administrators' group. (i.e. grant administrator permissions).
Step2:
Sign out and sign in to the new local admin profile you created.
- Go to Local disk C:/Users/Your Old_User profile.
- Transfer all the data from your old User profile to the New local admin user profile.
Once all the data has been transferred,
Step3:
- Open netplwiz in the local admin profile.
- Select your Child account profile and click 'Remove'.
Once removed,
Step 4:
- Go to Start > Settings > Accounts > your info.
- Select the 'Sign in with a Microsoft Account instead' option.
- Enter your Microsoft Account credentials on the device.
Now the local admin profile will be switched to your Microsoft account (Admin) Profile.
