Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
- Sign in to the Manage your payments page of the Microsoft account dashboard and select Investigate for the charge.
- Check Services & subscriptions and Order history on all Microsoft accounts that may have been used.
- Check whether a family member or someone else with access to the card made the purchase.
- Common causes include:
- recurring billing on a Microsoft subscription
- a previously declined charge being retried
- a pre-order or split order shipping
- an in-app purchase
- If the charge is not found on any Microsoft account, contact the bank or payment provider immediately and report the card as compromised. This helps prevent additional charges, not just dispute the current one.
- If more help is needed, use Contact Microsoft Support, enter the problem, select Get Help, and then Contact Support.
