I’m sorry about your situation, Acemoney3108 Marrero.

I see that's the AI answer has given some instructions and basic recommendations, so I'll just go into details directly. For compromised accounts, Microsoft explicitly guides users to use the Sign-in Helper

The assistant can identify your account issues and, based on detected situations, offer suitable options. You may be presented with verification forms where you can provide the evidence:

If you use the forms, they are particularly helpful if you/your son has used Xbox services before. Provide as much information for the compromised account as possible to prove your ownership.

Use the Microsoft account Sign-in Helper first. It asks for the account email address or phone number and either shows self-help steps or offers the chance to talk to an agent.

If access is still possible, follow this recovery sequence:

    1. Scan the PC for malware before changing the password: open Virus and threat protection → Scan options → Full scan → Scan now.
    2. Change or reset the password after the scan.
    3. Review account settings that may have been changed, especially connected accounts, forwarding, and automatic replies.
    4. Check recent sign-in activity on the Recent activity page and review any unfamiliar sign-ins from the last 30 days.

If the normal reset path does not work, use the Microsoft account recovery form. To improve the chance of success:

    • Provide a working email address that can receive Microsoft’s response.
    • Enter as much account history as possible.
    • For Outlook.com or Hotmail.com accounts, exact email subject lines and contact details can help.
    • Microsoft reviews recovery form answers and responds within 24 hours.

    Important limits from Microsoft support:

    • If two-step verification was turned on and none of the alternate verification methods are available, support agents cannot reset the account or change account details.
    • Support agents are not allowed to send password reset links or directly access and change account details.

If the account is locked, sign in at https://account.microsoft.com. If the “Let’s prove you’re human” option does not appear, use the aka.ms/ link shown in the lock message and submit the reinstatement form. Do not submit multiple requests, because that can slow the response.

For additional help, use Contact Microsoft Support and select Get Help / Contact Support.
