Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Good day Mayborg,
Just to gently clarify before going any further, this forum is separate from Microsoft Support. I don’t have the ability to access or investigate individual accounts because this is a user‑to‑user support forum. Also, I can't contact you directly.
Unfortunately, a work Microsoft 365 account and a personal Gmail account cannot be merged into one account. They are managed separately and must remain as separate accounts.
Please consider the following options based on your requirements:
Option 1: Use both accounts in New Outlook
If your goal is to access both accounts in one place:
Open New Outlook.
Go to Settings > Accounts > Your accounts
Select Add account and sign in with your work account.
Repeat the same steps to add your Gmail account.
You can then manage both mailboxes from Outlook while keeping the accounts separate.
Note: If you are using Classic Outlook or Legacy Outlook for Mac, please let me know.
Option 2: Forward work emails to Gmail
If you want messages from your work account to be delivered to Gmail, please contact your organization's IT administrator to confirm whether external email forwarding is allowed. Some organizations restrict forwarding due to security and compliance requirements.
Note: In case you do not know who is your IT admin, kindly refer to this article: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support
Option 3: Transfer files manually
If your goal is to transfer files, you can sign in to both accounts in OneDrive or Google Drive and manually download files from one account and upload them to the other, provided you have permission to access those files.
Please note that account licenses, mailbox contents, storage and organization managed permissions cannot be merged or transferred to a personal Gmail account.
For privacy and security, please avoid posting personal email addresses or other personal information in this public forum.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out at any time.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
